Tables
Tables seemed as if they would be an easy task...not so. It was quite difficult to get things to line up and behave as they should. There are some cells that just won't conform, at least not for me! You will notice this on the bonus lesson.
Then came the issue of validation. If the Properties panel were used to apply borders, then the code was written in a way that was not acceptable with the W3C. It all makes me appreciate what little I know about CSS! I plan on learning more...
Experimenting
I was browsing at the Zen Garden and saw this design that caused me to abandon everything until I could figure out how to do it. It had a fixed div at the bottom with a transparent background .png which caused the page to seem to come scrolling out of that background. It was time consuming and puzzling to me. I finally was able to accomplish it! It looked pretty good, too. But I had been previewing in Firefox and when I tried IE there was only a blank page. Had to reconstruct because I could not figure what was wrong. Still don't know, but it works now!
