Week 1 is all about Palettes, creating and saving workspaces, using strokes and fills with shapes.

I managed to use every shape on the Shapes Palette and even included the Lens Flare Tool.

I experimented with different stroke sizes, using, for example, a 5 (I think!) around the stars on the ball and a 10 on the stars on the wagon wheels..

Because I have worked with Illustrator before, my biggest frustration with this assignment was not being able to use other tools than mentioned in the lesson. I wanted to rotate the stretched ellipses used for the flower leaves, but resisted!

I had thought about wanting to use a distortion tool for the clouds and almost gave up on having clouds until I read what a classmate did! He piled ellipses onto each other...I tried it too and it works well!
