Working with Type...and More!

This week's lesson includes more type: Leading, Kerning, Tracking,Paragraph alignment and justification; Using symbols, Symbolism tools, saving custom symbols, document cleanup, Using the 3D Filter

The text part of the lesson was practise only and that I did! I justified, centered aligned right and left, using a text box.

The biggest part of the lesson was spent with the Symbol Tools and I finally know how to really clean up a file and save a custom library of symbols I have created my self! I I feel that the most useful thing (well, it was all useful!) I learned was to redefine a symbol!

The first image is a practise of leaf symbols and flowers I created and saved as part of a custom symbol library. The second, the final image after much practising with the tools for scrunching, screening, resizing, rotating and staining.

I used gradients and a black stroke to add some interest.
