Painter Brushes I

Lesson 1

Document Templates at first caused a problem until I reopened Painter as Administrator. Without doing that, I was unable to save my template. Everything else worked as planned. I must say that I thought I would be finished the work quickly, but, I spent many hours experimenting. I feel fairly comfortable with the Brush Controls after it all. Hard Media seems to be something I must spend some more time with. For example, I am not sure what 'stepping' does...tried to notice but couldn't.

So much that it is overwhelming! I don't like BuildUp brushes but love Drip! Drip seems to be another way to get some blending going on.

Very good lesson that encouraged me to spend time with brushes and to learn about changing them to what I might want them to do! Seems there are already so many brushes and maybe a few less, with all these controls, would also work!

Background

I have owned a copy of Painter since Painter 5. I have always loved it, but never did learn that much about changing brushes to be comfortable with it. I think this course is going to fix that for me.

I now own Painter 11 because with my 16 gigabyte of RAM, 64 bit computer,
Painter X won't install. It is a known problem you can read about here.
