April, 2003 Challenge

I enjoyed very much creating fansy lands for the April Challenge. I got very interested in using Bryce 5 by creatiung Death Valley Days and Fairyland . Death Valley Days was the first Bryce image in which I manipulated terrains to creat an effect similar to piled up sand. I had always seen the terrains as something used to make mountains!

All the objects are from images masked and saved with an alpha channel in Photoshop and then applied in Bryce to a plane. The Griselda image was also created in Bryce 5 using the very same process. It is quite a time consuming bit of work to extract an image from a background!. I now have Extensis Mask Pro for that!

Luckily for me, the image appealed to my fellow challenge entrants and was voted a winner.
