Fancy Colors

For this Challenge, we'll be celebrating color. There will be two sections to the Gallery --

  • Celebrations of a Single Color

  • Celebrations of Many Colors

Within each of these sections, there will be 3 categories, for a total of 6 categories.

Categories within each section:

  • Drawings, Paintings, & Computer-Created Effects
  • Manipulated Photography
  • Pure photography

These rules for the July 2004 Art Challenge were taken from Janee's page for that month.

Max, the cat belonging to my daugher and granddaughter, played an important part in winning one of the places in this month's challenge. Again, I was fortunate enough to win in 3 categories! Max's composition was purely Photoshop using masking to lift him from his sunny window background and then shape tools to draw the leafy surroundings.

Here is the thank you image with a background of flowers and fish (part of the other two winning images)drawn in Illustrator.

If you look carefully, you can see my face at the very bottom, to the right!

This is Max, an Abysinniian cat owned by my daughter's family. He is beautiful, his eyes the color you see in the photo. Flowers drawn in Illustrator and then made into Symbol Instances and applied with the Symbol sprayer... Drawn in Illustrator,Gradient Mesh used to color the fish...
