Round and Round

This was a good time to learn about Mandalas and so I went in search of directions on making them! Here is a link explaining how to make one in Photoshop using a pie grid. Mandala Directions.
Tesselation was another aspect of round and round for me and I did try some but they are not as simple as they seem! Here are some links Coolmath.com and Artlex on Tesselation which offers not only an explanation, but links to more sites on tesselation.

Last, but not least, I tried a couple of images in Illustrator 10 and was so delighted to break through the barrier of making a braid and Celtic knot! They were not so easy! P. J Cassel has the tutorials, but it took me a very long time (at least 10 months) of returning to it to be finally successful. P.J.Cassel's Braid and Knot Tutorials.

The prize winner this time was a mandala made using the pie chart with a photo taken of a sun catcher ice skater I had photographed at a gift shop in Waterville Valley, New Hampshire last February. I had also used the skater in the March, '03 Challenge.
