Kelly's birthday, really July 24, (the same birthday as her father) was celebrated on Sunday, August 1, 2004. Kelly became 13 years old. No! It is not a perm! Kelly's hair is naturally curly!
Just 3 years ago, on her 10th birthday, Kelly looked like this. How she changed! Click on the thumbnail to open a larger view. The other thumbnail, in the Gaspee Days Parade...water girl!
November 12, 2006, and Kelly is now 15 years old. The music in the background is a song she wrote and recorded (harmonizing with herself) and playing both the guitar and keyboard to accompany herself. The song was a culmination activity after having read "Robinson Crusoe". The writing you can see through the picture is what her teacher wrote as a grade for her project...105 %!
The words to "Footprints in the Sand" by Kelly Johnson
One single footprint, one single life,
Without another, on whom can I rely?
Human society is overrated.
I can make it on my own.
Without companions to love forever,
Without a home made of bricks.
I can make it I assure you.
One single footprint, one single life,
Without another, on whom can I rely?
On myself.
