It was fun creating the Egypt image although I must say that the camel figure we used kept reminding me of cigarettes! I did have a little problem getting my export to and from Photoshop but in the end did accomplish it and textured the sand dunes there. All the steps involved there are very good to know about. I also liked using the Appearance Palette to change the looks of the text. Learning to draw the pyramid opens a whole new word of using guides and changing the basic shapes to suit your needs and being able to rotate the pattern to align with the object very valuable!. |

My free choice image is a culmination of many things I have learned so far:
- Using the 3D tool/ filter to create the needle
- using the productivity tip of moving objects by a certain number of pixels by changing preferences gave perfectly spaced squares for the quilt
- using strokes of dotted lines, fills and rotating patterns
I have finished off Lesson 5 by making a text image with multiple strokes, blending modes, outlines, and altered letters. It was a lot of fun to try!
