I had again some fun with Poser! I love the animation idea for creating dynamic clothing. I had to repeat it so often (some errors here and there) and so I now have the steps absolutely memorized. I also did a bit of experimenting with PS CS3 Extended and imported some 3D layers of my Katie into PS CS 3 Extended.

I will begin with the animation, which I chose to save as .swf file. It seems to make me laugh...some cruel streak, I guess!

The above animation was an introduction to 'clothify'! In other words how to create clothes that will drape properly on a posed figure in the Cloth Room! The model is Katie. The skirt was a stiff little bit of an object and through the simulation animation, it became something that fit the pose. Here is the first attempt. I tried many times, did not get the striped fabric to appear on the skirt. I also found I needed to use the parameter dials to make sure none of her skin was coming through the skirt.

I next tried some importing of the 3ds file into Photoshop CS3 Extended...had great fun with it there. Did some wire mesh, lighting in the 3 d layers and then some layer blending modes and a bit of painting.

last, I tried out the second skirt, placed a photo for background. This time the texture worked!
