The photo was taken at a backyard birthday party in July of 2003. I used the Olympus C5050Z with a telephoto lens. Using the Extract filter in Photoshop CS, I masked away the background and foreground of the photo and pasted it to layer of its own aver a blacm and white gradient background. I used some Adjustment Layers, Drop Shadow, lighting and texture to give it a more dramatic look. You can see an extraction of a photo of Lauren which was more difficult and not as successful because of wisps of hair here. Both photos are from the same day. |
