The Sewing Room

I have recently updated from the Janome MC 10000 to the 11000 Special Edition and have rediscovered how much fun it is to sew! After struggling with my Elna serger threading difficulties, I turned it in for the Babylock Evolve. Very happy!
I bought my machines (and have, for many years) from Blaine Sewing Machine Center in Cranston, RI.

A class I am taking about serging has gotten me started with making little zippered purses. Now that I understand the process, I am creating some decorated and quilted fabric from which to make the purses...serged tassels as well. Just a beginning with serging and I really look forward to becoming adept with the machine.

I also have 4D Embroidery Software by Husqvarna-Viking and I am in the process of studying its possibilities. I have tutorials to help! Complicated and difficult equals challenging fun.
