Sewing
I have been taking a class at Blaine Sewing Machine Center in Cranston, RI, with instructor Nancy Hoell. We are using a beginner's serger book, Ready, Set, Serge.
A class I am taking about serging has gotten me started with making little zippered purses. Now that I understand the process, I am creating some decorated and quilted fabric from which to make the purses...serged tassels as well. Just a beginning with serging and I really look forward to becoming adept with the machine.
The links on this page will lead to photos and explanations of the projects I have completed.

The tassel was created with![]() a 2 thread chain stitch on the serger. I had a relatively easy time setting up for the tassel with the Evolve. And almost as easy a time getting it all back to the 4 thread overlock. I have only had the Evolve for a week and feel comfortable with the threading. |
